Jay Chou rakes in the mullah

Multitalented Taiwanese singer Jay Chou has once again been named the year's highest earning artiste in the Taiwanese music industry, having drawn a massive NT$554 million (over RM58 million) in 2009.
The 30-year-old singer/songwriter/actor reportedly took home a total of NT$114.6 million (approx RM12 million) for his roles in the films "The Treasure Hunter" and "The Green Hornet" alone. He also made bank from corporate appearances, seven sold-out concerts and numerous big name commercials as well as his album royalties. Some people have all the luck!
Oh, if you must know, popular girl group S.H.E came in second with an estimated income of NT$360 million (just shy of RM38 million) while Jay's former flame, pop princess Jolin Tsai, came in third with about NT$350 million (just shy of RM37 million).
